I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic helicopter crash on 19 May 2024 which have resulted in the passing of His Excellency Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and His Excellency Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as their delegation.
Under President Raisi's Government, the Islamic Republic of Iran achieved considerable progress in the development of the country and in maintaining regional stability. His Excellency was a respectable statesman, who will be remembered for his dedication and wise leadership.
The Government and the people of Brunei Darussalam join me in offering our heartfelt and sincerest condolences to Your Excellency, to the Government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran, especially to the bereaved families on this tragedy.
I pray to Allah Subhaanahu Wata'ala to grant the souls of the late His Excellency President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs and others to be placed among his blessed ones. Aamiin Ya Rabbal 'Alamiin.
