On 7 February 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a recitation of Surah Yassin and a Tahlil ceremony at Kubah Makam Diraja, Bandar Seri Begawan, to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry. The recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil was led by the Honourable Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Minister of Foreign Affairs II.
Maghrib prayers and a recitation of Surah Yassin, Tahlil, and Doa Kesyukuran was later held at the Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Present were Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, senior officials, and staff from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Brunei Darussalam's former Heads of Mission.
