Your Excellency,
I am pleased to convey my warmest congratulations to you and to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand on the occasion of your National Day.
Brunei Darussalam and Thailand shared long-standing ties of friendship and close cooperation which have continued to flourish through trade, education, defence and people-to-people exchanges. I appreciate the good discussions that we had during your Official Visit to Brunei Darussalam last October, particularly in reaffirming our commitment to further develop the valuable partnership in other areas including energy, and the halal sector.
As we approach the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year, I believe there will be many more opportunities for us to work closely together in advancing our bilateral ties, as well as our work in ASEAN for the continued peace and prosperity of our two countries and the region.
