His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, this afternoon presented Letters of Credence to Brunei Darussalam’s newly-appointed envoys and received Letters of Credence from newly-appointed Foreign Envoys to Brunei Darussalam.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam first presented Letters of Credence to His Excellency Awang Haji Ahmad bin Haji Jumat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to the United Arab Emirates; and Her Excellency Dayang Hajah Noor Qamar binti Haji Sulaiman, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Singapore.
His Majesty then received Letters of Credence from His Excellency Taghi Rajabi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brunei Darussalam; Her Excellency Alexandra McKenzie, British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam; and Her Excellency Eve Lubin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Brunei Darussalam.
After the ceremonies, His Majesty received in audience Brunei Darussalam’s newly-appointed envoys. His Majesty also received in separate audiences the newly-appointed Foreign Envoys to Brunei Darussalam.
Present at the ceremonies were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Grand Chamberlain.
The ceremonies took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
