BRUNEI CITIZENS SERVICES All Bruneian citizens residing in the State of Qatar are advised to complete the Brunei Citizens in Qatar Registration Form . This registration will assist the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Doha, State of Qatar to reach out in the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstances. | RENEWAL OR LOST PASSPORT | I. Renewal or Lost Passport Brunei Darussalam's citizens who need to renew or have lost their passport are advised to notify the Embassy as soon as possible. For those renewing their passports, please be advised to apply minimum six (6) months before the expiry date. Requirements for renewal or replacement of passport are as follows:- - Completed
Passport Application Form. - A letter stating the request to apply for a passport renewal or replacement with reason, addressed to the Embassy. The letter should explain details of how and when the passport was lost (For lost passport). Applicants should also include contact details in full;
- Two (2) copies of Police Report (on the loss of passport)
- Two (2) copies of the current passport;
- Two (2) copies of Birth Certificate
- Two (2) copies of Brunei Identity Card
- Two (2) copies of Marriage certificate;
- Two (2) copies of Certificate of Citizenship (if applicable);
- Two (2) copies of QID;
- Four (4) passport sized photos;
- Letter of certification from present educational institution (for students) or employer (for employees);
II. New Passport Application (For Newborn Baby) - Completed
Passport Application Form. - A letter stating the request to apply for a new passport addressed to the Embassy to include contact details in full;
- Two (2) copies of Sijil Menunjukkan Bukti Sepintas Lalu Sebagai Seorang Rakyat KDYMM Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan dengan Cara Kuatkuasa Undang-Undang;
- Two (2) copies of Child's Birth Certificate;
- Two (2) copies of Father's Brunei Identity Card;
- Two (2) copies of Father's Brunei Passport;
- Two (2) copies of Parent's Marriage certificate;
- Two (2) copies of Certificate of Citizenship (if applicable);
- Two (2) copies of Father's QID;
- Four (4) recently taken passport sized photos;
- Letter of certification from employer (for employees);
Fee: BND 60.00 (Payable in Qatari Riyals (QAR), based on the prevailing exchange rate set by the Government of Brunei Darussalam) IMPORTANT NOTE: It is necessary for those who lost their travel documents to pay the surcharges in addition to the existing fees of the services mentioned above:- - Lost for the First Time – BND 150.00

| EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE (SIJIL DARURAT) | This travel document is issued to Brunei Darussalam's citizens who are abroad and facing the following situations:- I. Lost or Damage of Travel Document Brunei Darussalam's citizens who have lost or damaged their passport during their stay in the State of Qatar are required to apply for an Emergency Certificate (Sijil Darurat) through the Embassy as soon as possible. The Emergency Certificate is a one-way travel document, issued solely for the purpose of returning to Brunei Darussalam. An application form can be requested from the Embassy. The duly completed form must be submitted together with the following documents:- - Completed Application
Form - Emergency Certificate (Sijil Darurat);
- Letter addressed to the Embassy stating the request for an Emergency Certificate and the reason for the application;
- Two (2) copies of Lost or Damaged Passport (if applicable);
- Two (2) copies of Police Report;
- Two (2) copies of Brunei Identity Card (both sides) or Identification Certificate (if applicable);
- Two (2) copies of Birth Certificate;
- Four (4) recent passport-size photos;
- Letter of certification from present educational institution (for students) or employer (for employees);
- Flight Itinerary.
II. Newborn Baby For a child born to a Bruneian citizen in the State of Qatar can also apply for an Emergency Certificate for the purpose of returning to Brunei Darussalam. In addition to the application form and documents listed above, the following documents must also be submitted:- - Letter of certification from employer (for employees);
- Two (2) copies of the child's Birth Certificate;
- Two (2) copies of the parents' Marriage Certificate;
- Two (2) copies of each parent's Birth Certificates (both sides);
- Two (2) copies of each parent's Identity Cards (both sides);
- Two (2) copies of each parent's Passports;
- Two (2) copies of each parent's QIDs;
- Two (2) copies of Certificate of Citizenship (if applicable);
- Four (4) recent passport-size photos of the child (white background);
- Flight Itinerary.

REGISTRATION OF BIRTH | Every newborn baby in State of Qatar whose father is a citizen of Brunei Darussalam must be registered with the Embassy within six (6) months from the date of birth. An application form can be requested from the Embassy and must be duly completed and submitted together with the following documents:- - Completed Application
Form - Application to Register at Brunei Mission Abroad; - A letter from the father stating the purpose of his stay in the State of Qatar (e.g. employment, study, official duty, or personal reasons) together with the supporting documents, if any:
- Two (2) copies of the child's Birth Certificate;
- Four (4) copies of the child's recent passport size photos;
- Two (2) copies of the parents' Marriage Certificate;
- Two (2) copies of each parent's Birth Certificates (both sides);
- Two (2) copies of each parent's Identity Cards;
- Two (2) copies of each parent's Passports.
If an issuance of certification of citizenship is required, the above application must be submitted together with: - Two (2) copies of completed
Form A1; - Two (2) copies of completed
Form D ;
- Letter of certification from the present educational institution (for student) or employer (for employee).

| IDENTITY CARD RENEWAL | The renewal of the Brunei Darussalam Identity Card cannot be processed through the Embassy as this is carried out solely by the Department of Immigration and National Registration of Brunei Darussalam. However, any expired, lost or damaged identity card must be reported to the Embassy by writing, providing the following details: - Full name;
- Full and latest / current address of residence in the State of Qatar;
- Contact Phone Number;
- Date of expiry or loss;
- Police Report (in case of loss);
- Reason for being in the State of Qatar.
The Embassy will issue an official letter to the Department of Immigration and National Registration of Brunei Darussalam. A copy of the letter (or copy of reply received from the Department of Immigration and National Registration of Brunei Darussalam) will be shared with the applicant to present upon return to Brunei Darussalam, for the renewal process. |
| ATTESTATION | The Embassy provides attestation services for official documents for the purpose verifying and authenticating documents issued by the relevant authorities in Brunei Darussalam. I. Academic related documents issued in Brunei Darussalam including: - Certificates;
- Academic Reports;
- Transcripts;
- Confirmation letters.
II. Personal documents issued by the competent authorities including: - Identity Card;
- Passport;
- Birth Certificate.
- Driving License;
- Marriage Certificate;
- Police Clearance Certificate.

| COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE | Foreign nationals born in Brunei Darussalam who wish to obtain an extract Copy of Birth Certificate, may submit an application through the Embassy with the following requirements: - Cover letter from the father addressed to the Department of Immigration and National Registration of Brunei Darussalam stating reason(s) for the application.
- A copy of Birth Certificate;
