Nationals and Permanent Residents of Brunei Darussalam who are either residing in or visiting the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are advised to register with the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in Islamabad, Islamic Republic of Pakistan.  

 

The information provided will allow the High Commission to get in touch with you to ensure that you are safe and, if needed, to extend assistance in cases of emergencies (for example natural disasters, major disasters, civil unrests, major illnesses).

VISA APPLICATIONS FOR PAKISTANIS TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

  • The High Commission does not authorise or engage with any travel agents, intermediaries, or third parties for the processing and payments of Brunei social visa applications. All visa applications must be submitted directly.
  • Visa processing fee: BND 20 per application (payable in Pakistani Rupees Rs. 5,000, based on the current Brunei Government exchange rate). You only need to pay this fee at the time of visa stamping. No payment is required when you first submit your application.
  • Submissions: can be done via email at bdhc.visaconsular@gmail.com and CC: Islamabad.pakistan@mfa.gov.bn. After submission, please contact the High Commission's visa focal point officer WhatsApp at +92 330 9134088.

1.       Social Visit Visa

 

Important Notice:

  • Please submit application at least 6 weeks before intended flight from Pakistan.​
  • Applications submitted in less than 6 weeks will not be entertained.
  • Applicants are responsible for checking their visa status with visa focal point 4 weeks after submission.
  • The High Commission does not authorise or engage with any travel agents, intermediaries, or third parties for the processing and payments of Brunei social visa applications. All visa applications must be submitted directly.

 

Checklist of Items to submit to the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam:

1.       A cover letter from each applicant requesting visa.  
2.       A duly filled visa application form  
3.       A duly filled social visa application declaration form  
4.       A copy of passport with not less than six months remaining validity, and at least 6 pages empty for visa stamp (Visa page, not observation page.)  
5.       Two (2) passport-size photographs.  
6.       A copy of CONFIRMED return air ticket.  
7.       A copy of proof of accommodation in Brunei Darussalam e.g. hotel reservation or address of stay in Brunei Darussalam (If not staying at hotel, please highlight in cover letter such as staying at relative's house.)  
8.       A copy of the applicants' 3-months Bank Statement. (Closing balance must be at least 500,000 PKR OR statement shows proof of consistent Income.)  
9.       A valid Polio vaccination certification  
10.    A valid medical insurance with a minimum coverage of BND 10,000 during your travel period.  


2.       Employment Visa

 

Important Notice:

Step 1
  • If you wish to work in Brunei Darussalam, you must first find a potential employer. Only your prospective employer can apply directly to the Immigration Department of Brunei Darussalam for an employment visa on your behalf.
  • The High Commission of Brunei Darussalam is not an employment agency and does not authorise or collaborate with travel agents, intermediaries, or third parties for visa processing and payments.
Step 2
  • Once employment visa approval is received, the applicant is required to make an appointment with the High Commission and bring all documents listed in the checklist below for stamping.

 

Checklist of Items to submit to the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam:

4.       Two (2) passport-size photographs.  
5.       A copy of CONFIRMED one-way air ticket.  
6.       A duly filled medical form after medical check-up including a valid polio vaccination.  
7.       Valid medical insurance for the employee with a minimum coverage of BND 100,000 medical coverage insurance throughout their employment period, as per Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines. (Enforced from 1 Jan 2026)  


3.       Business / Professional Visa

 

Important Notice:

Step 1
  • The sponsor in Brunei Darussalam (e.g., companies, business representatives, government agencies, education institute) should apply for the applicant's visa directly to the Immigration Department in Brunei Darussalam for approval.
  • The High Commission of Brunei Darussalam is not an employment agency and does not authorise or collaborate with travel agents, intermediaries, or third parties for visa processing and payments.
Step 2
  • Once approved, the applicant is then required to make an appointment with the High Commission and bring the following:​

3.       Original Passport with not less than six months remaining validity, and at least 6 pages empty for visa stamp (Visa page, not observation page)  
4.       Two (2) passport-size photographs.  
5.       A copy of CONFIRMED return air ticket.  
6.       A copy of proof of accommodation in Brunei Darussalam e.g. hotel reservation or address of stay in Brunei Darussalam  
7.       Copy of the invitation letter or sponsorship letter or any other supporting documents from the sponsor (associated companies, business representatives, government agencies, etc)  
8.       A valid Polio vaccination certification  
9.       Valid medical insurance with a minimum coverage of BND 10,000 during your travel period (Less than 90 days) OR BND 100,000 (if more than 90 days)  

 

4.      Student Visa

 

Important Notice:

Step 1
  • The sponsor (in this case, the University) should apply for the applicant's visa directly to the Immigration Department of Brunei Darussalam
  • Reminder: The High Commission of Brunei Darussalam does not authorise or collaborate with travel agents, intermediaries, or third parties for visa processing and payments.
Step 2
  • Once the applicant receives a visa approval from the University, the applicant is required to make an appointment with the High Commission and bring all documents listed in the checklist below for stamping.

 

Checklist of Items to submit to the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam:

4.       Original Passport with not less than six months remaining validity, and at least 6 pages empty for visa stamp (Visa page, not observation page)  
5.       Two (2) passport-size photographs.  
6.       A copy of CONFIRMED one-way air ticket.  
7.       A duly filled medical form after medical check-up including a valid polio vaccination. The medical form should show that you are medically fit to study in Brunei.  
8.       A copy of proof of accommodation in Brunei Darussalam e.g. hotel reservation or address of stay in Brunei Darussalam (If not staying at hotel, please highlight in cover letter such as staying at relative's house.)  
9.       Valid medical insurance for the student with a minimum coverage of BND 5,000 valid throughout your study period. (mandatory requirement from 1 Jan 2026)  
10.    Copy of scholarship approval letter (if applicable)

5.       Dependent Visa

 

Important Notice:

Step 1
  • The sponsor (in this case, the family member working in Brunei Darussalam wishing for his/her close family to accompany them long-term in Brunei Darussalam) should apply for the dependent's visa directly to the Immigration Department in Brunei Darussalam for approval.
Step 2
  • Once visa approval is received, the applicant is required to make an appointment with the High Commission and bring all documents listed in the checklist below for stamping.

 

Checklist of Items to submit to the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam:
