Brunei Darussalam’s 1st and 2nd Air-drop operations


Wednesday, 13 March 2024 – Brunei Darussalam’s 1st and 2nd Air-drop operations, King Abdullah II Air Base

H.E. Haji Mahadi bin Maidin, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam (BD) to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Non-Resident Ambassador to the State of Palestine, accompanied by officers and staff from the Embassy of BD in Amman, Jordan visited the King Abdullah II Air Base to witness the preparations for BD’s participation in the joint air-drop operations, in coordination with the JAF. H.E. Haji Mahadi was received by Colonel Mohammad A. Jbour, Deputy Commander of King Abdullah II Air Base. 

The two (2) C-130 JAF aircrafts, which carried BD’s humanitarian aid with unguided parachutes (without GPS) took off at 12.40pm and 12.50pm (Jordan time). JAF shared that they were to be parachuted in North Gaza.

After the take-off, H.E. Haji Mahadi met with Colonel Osama Alkhatib, Commander of King Abdullah II Air Base at his office in the Air Base. H.E. Haji Mahadi expressed his gratitude to the JAF for making the excellent coordination and making this joint air-drop operation a success, as this was by the request of His Royal Highness Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, for BD to participate in this joint air-drop operation with Jordan.
