Visa Applications for Visitors to Brunei Darussalam
Particulars of Bruneians & Dependents Residing in Bangladesh
VISIT VISA REQUIREMENTS
1. One completed visa application form per applicant. (click Visa Application Form)
2. Two recent passport-sized photographs.
3. Copies of National Identity Card (NID) and birth certificate.
4. Colour copy of passport(s), previous visas, and endorsed pages.
(Note: If any previous visa is stamped in an old passport, please bring the original old passport(s) along with colour photocopies of the relevant visa and endorsed pages.)
5. Applicant's passport: Must be valid for at least six (6) months before expiry beyond your intended entry date into Brunei Darussalam and should have at least four blank pages remaining.
6. Financial proof: Applicants must provide the following documents as evidence of financial capacity:
- Original bank statement for the last six (6) months.
- Bank solvency certificate issued by the bank.
- Bank cheque book and ATM card.
- Tax Identification Number (TIN) certificate along with Income Tax Return documents.
- Business accounts: If a business account is submitted, applicants must also provide a certified copy of the Business Trade License as proof of business ownership. The Trade License must be accompanied by an official English translation.
- The minimum required standard balance is BDT 300,000, and consistently over the previous six (6) months.
- The High Commission requires a six (6) months bank statement to verify that funds have been maintained consistently / consistently available. Recent large deposits alone will not be accepted, even if they meet the minimum balance requirement.
- The same applies to one-time large deposits that are withdrawn on the same day or the following day, even if repeated across several months. Such transactions will not be accepted as proof of funds, as they do not demonstrate a consistently maintained satisfactory balance.
- Applicants must submit bank statements showing actual cash balance or deposits. Below accounts will not be accepted as proof of funds:
- Credit card accounts/statements
- Secured Overdraft (SOD) accounts or Loan-linked accounts
7. Two copies of confirmed flight bookings.
8. Confirmed hotel reservation in Brunei Darussalam (if necessary).
9. International Health Travel Insurance. The policy must provide a minimum coverage amount of BND 10,000.00 or its equivalent per applicant.

Medical Insurance must provide coverage for:
- Full duration of stay in Brunei Darussalam
- Emergency medical treatment

- Issued by a recognized insurer:
- Tourism visit (visit under 14 days): local or international insurer
- Social Visa (approval issued by the Department of Immigration and National Registration of Brunei Darussalam): Coverage must be obtained from a Brunei-based insurance provider, arranged by the sponsor in Brunei Darussalam.
(Note: All inbound travellers to Brunei Darussalam are required to present a printed international travel health insurance when submitting visa application, as well as upon arrival at Brunei Immigration Check-point).
Please also note that digital copies or confirmation emails will not be accepted during Visa Application as well as at points of entry.
10. Invitation letter from sponsor, authenticated by immigration or a statutory Brunei Court (if necessary).
11. Certificate from Employer or Business Associate (if necessary).
12. Applicant may be required to attend an interview.
13. Visa fee: Taka 2,100.00 (Single Entry). Payment is in cash and non-refundable.
14. Visa issued is valid for up to three months only.
15. The application process usually takes five (5) working days but may take longer for further verification. Applicants are advised to submit their application form and relevant documents at least two weeks before their planned date for the trip.
(Note: The Visit Visa is strictly for the purpose of Social/Holiday Purposes Only. The High Commission will not accommodate/entertain requests for expedited visa processing solely on the basis of having flight tickets within the five (5) working days processing window).
16. Documents in Non-English Languages: All documents submitted in a language other than English must be accompanied by a notarized English translation. Applications without such translations will be returned without processing.
17. Please also note that the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in Dhaka, Bangladesh, reserves the right to request additional information or documents as deemed necessary.

18. Please be advised that applicants are solely responsible for ensuring the authenticity and validity of all documents submitted, including the medical insurance certificate.
19. Once Visa has been issued, each applicant must fill E-Arrival Card via online (https://www.imm.gov.bn) prior to arrival to Brunei Darussalam within three (3) days upon arrival.
EMPLOYMENT VISA REQUIREMENTS
- One completed visa application form per applicant. (click Visa Application Form)
- Two recent passport-sized photographs.
- Copies of National Identity Card (NID) and birth certificate.
- Copy of passport(s), previous visas, and endorsed pages.
- Applicant's passport: Must be valid for at least six months before expiry when entering Brunei Darussalam and should have at least four blank pages remaining.
- Copy of Visa Advice from Brunei Immigration. Valid for six months from the date of issue.
- Medical Test from an enlisted medical center only (original and photocopy). The Test Result Form must be valid when entering Brunei Darussalam.
- Confirmed air ticket (original and photocopy).
- Medical Insurance Coverage. Employers are responsible for providing coverage for foreign workers. The policy must provide a minimum coverage amount of BND 100,000.00 per applicant.

- Applicant's passport: Must be valid for at least six months before expiry when entering Brunei Darussalam and should have at least four blank pages remaining.
- Copy of Visa Advice from Brunei Immigration. Valid for three months from the date of issue.
- Medical Tests from an enlisted medical center. Infant below 2 years old (Dependent visa), still require medical checks (X-ray is exempted) original and photocopy. The test result form must be valid when entering Brunei Darussalam.
- Medical Insurance Coverage. Employers are responsible for providing coverage for foreign workers. The policy must provide a minimum coverage amount of BND 100,000.00 per applicant.

VISA ON ARRIVAL (VOA)
The issuance of VOA by Brunei Immigration for Bangladeshi nationals traveling to Brunei Darussalam is not accepted by Bangladesh Immigration. Therefore, Bangladeshi citizens must have a visa endorsed on their passport prior to departure.
