Travelling to Brunei Darussalam

Foreign Nationals in the Philippines who wish to travel to Brunei Darussalam for social and visiting purpose should check whether they require visa. More information can be found here.

For Philippine passport holder, they can stay up to 14 days without visa. For a stay more than this period (up to 3 months), a visa can be obtain from the Embassy.


VISA

Visit visa (Single / Multiple Entry)

Applicant should submit their application through online at this link here before sending the passport and payment at the Embassy. (Only visit visa can be submit online at this moment)

The requirements to be submitted online are as follows:

  • Duly completed application form. For application form click here.
  • 1 passport sized photo (recently taken);
  • Photocopies of the relevant pages of the passport (pages with personal details, lates arrival and page with notification in case of emergency)
  • Photocopy of confirmed return ticket Manila-Brunei-Manila. For Multiple Entry applicant should proof should proof journey to the third country. (open dated tickets will not be considered. Be advised that we will not adjust to your flight schedule, please give ample time for the processing visa)
  • Photocopy of Statutory Declaration (obtainable from Brunei Darussalam Magistrate)
  • Photocopy of Affidavit of Support (obtainable from Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam)
  • Letter of consent from the sponsor's employer
  • Photocopy of sponsor's passport pages with personal details and latest valid employment pass or any residency pass/ status – must be valid for than 2 month and must cover the duration of sponsorship – If married please attach spouse's copy too and NSO copy of marriage certificate.
  • Photocopy of sponsor's (IC) identity card (both side) – if still on process please attach the official receipt copy as Temporaty IC. If married please attach spouse's copy.
  • Photocopy of NSO documents to established relationship between sponsor and applicant (marriage certificate – for spouse's and parental sponsorship; birth certificate for children's sponsorship; CENOMAR – for Fiance or unmarried couple sponsorship (both parties)).
  • Any other documents that may be required
    • DSWD Travel clearance certificate – For minor travelling with unmarried parents or other relative other than married parents.
    • Affidavit of Consent from minor's mother if not travelling together.
    • Copies of valid travel documents of adult if accompanying / travelling with minor (latest valid re-rentry visa, ticket and OEC)

After completing the above online, the documents to be submitted at the Embassy are as follow:

  • Original passport valid for more than six (6) months past the intended date of entry;
  • Payment- information here.

Note:

  • Please bring two valid Philippine Government issued ID's with photo, signature and validity date to enter the Embassy;
  • The processing of the visa is usually 3 working days. (depend on the Nationality – refer here)

 

Other Visa

1. Employment Visa

Requirements for Employment Visa (application should be submitted to the Embassy personally or through respective agency)

  • Duly completed application form. For application form click here.
  • 1 passport size photo (recently taken);
  • Original passport valid for more than six (6) months upon date of intended travel to Brunei Darussalam);
  • Photocopies of the relevant pages of the passport (pages with personal details, lates arrival and page with notification in case of emergency);
  • Certified True Copy of Medical Certification from Brunei Darussalam Accredited Clinics. Must be valid for two (2) weeks before arrival in Brunei Darussalam.

Applicants who are subjected for pre-departure medical fitness examinations in the republic of the Philippines

  • Those who will work in Brunei Darussalam for the first time;
  • Those who are going back to work in Brunei Darussalam with different employer (change of employer)
  • Those who are going back with the same employer in Brunei Darussalam but have been on vacation in the Philippines six (6) months or more.
  • Those who are going back with the same employer but with no medical record at the accredited clinics since 2003.
  • Agency's endorsement letter if applying thru an agent;

2. Pre-Approved - Visit / Professional / Business Visit Visa

Requirements are:

  • Duly completed visa application form. For application form click here.
  • 1 passport size photo (recently taken);
  • Original passport valid for more than six (6) months upon date of intended travel to Brunei Darussalam);
  • Photocopies of the relevant pages of the passport (pages with personal details, lates arrival and page with notification in case of emergency);
  • Photocopy of confirmed return ticket (Manila-Brunei-Manila) (open dated tickets will not be considered. Be advised that we will not adjust to your flight schedule, please give ample time for the processing visa);
  • Payment- information here.

Note:

  • The above is the requirements by the Embassy. The initial application for this pre-approved visa varies and has to be obtain from the Immigration of Brunei Darussalam. For more information please click here.
