BRUNEI DARUSSALAM – SULTANATE OF OMAN JOINT COMMITTEE MEETING

The Joint Committee Meeting between the Government of Brunei Darussalam and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman was established in 2009 following the setting up of the Oman – Brunei Investment Company. It is led by the Permanent Secretary level.

The Brunei – Oman Joint Committee Meeting (BOJC) is aimed at developing and promoting greater economic cooperation between the two Countries as well as developing cooperation between its private / business sectors, especially in the areas of Trade and Investment; Agriculture and Fisheries; Halal Initiative; Tourism; Energy; and Education.  

To date, two BOJCs have been held in alternate countries. The 1st BOJC took place on 17 – 18 June 2010 in Bandar Seri Begawan; and the 2nd BOJC took place on 17 – 19 September 2014 in Muscat. The 3rd BOJC is scheduled to take place in Brunei Darussalam. ​
