BRUNEI DARUSSALAM – STATE OF KUWAIT JOINT COMMITTEE MEETING (ECONOMIC AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION)

The Joint Committee Meeting (Economic and Technical Cooperation) between the Government of Brunei Darussalam and the Government of the State of Kuwait was established in accordance to the Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation, signed in Bandar Seri Begawan on 25 July 2008. It is led by the Permanent Secretary level.

The Joint Committee Meeting (JCM) is aimed at exploring various ways and means of expanding the existing economic and technical cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the State of Kuwait, in areas such as: Investment; Commercial; Tourism; Science, Technology and Innovation; Information Technology; Oil and Gas; and Education.

To date, three JCMs have been held in alternate countries as follows:

The 1st JCM: 12 – 14 December 2010 in Bandar Seri Begawan;

The 2nd JCM: 23 – 24 November 2014 in Kuwait City;

The 3rd JCM: 5 – 6 December 2016 in Bandar Seri Begawan
