It is with much pleasure that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you and to the Government and people of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on your 48th National Day.
Brunei Darussalam and the Lao People's Democratic Republic have developed close and warm friendship founded on shared values and mutual respect reaffirmed during both our visits to each other's country over the last years. I am, therefore, confident that our Strategic Partnership will continue to deepen these valuable ties in the years to come.
I wish to take this opportunity to reiterate Brunei Darussalam's steadfast support for Lao PDR's 2024 ASEAN Chairmanship, under the theme 'ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience' and extend my best wishes to you as well as the Government and people of the Lao People's Democratic Republic for a successful chairmanship.
