The 3rd Meeting of the Brunei Darussalam – State of Kuwait Joint Committee was held on 5 - 6 December 2016 at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.

The Meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Dato Paduka Lim Jock Hoi, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam and H.E. Khalifa Mesaed Hamada, Undersecretary for Ministry of Finance of the State of Kuwait.

Both countries exchanged views on how to enhance bilateral cooperation in trade and economic matters focusing on energy, finance, education, training and tourism.

Brunei Darussalam shared its economic diversification efforts and highlighted the investment opportunities in five (5) priority clusters, namely halal; technology and creative industry; business services; tourism; and downstream oil and gas.

Private sector representatives from both sides also had an opportunity to meet and discuss how to progress cooperation.

The 4th Meeting will be hosted by the State of Kuwait.
