His Royal Highness underscored the importance of collective action among OIC Member States through coordinated diplomacy and stronger engagement within the United Nations, particularly on Palestine. His Royal Highness also stressed the need to uphold international law, respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and protect civilians.

His Royal Highness also attended the High-Level Ministerial Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution and reaffirmed Brunei Darussalam’s support for an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. His Royal Highness also called for a permanent ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian access and the protection of civilians, while stressing the need for concrete international action to preserve Palestine’s territorial integrity and advance a just and lasting peace.

His Royal Highness also held several bilateral meetings. His Royal Highness met with Her Excellency Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, and reaffirmed Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to working with Commonwealth member states and looked forward to continued engagement with the Commonwealth Secretariat. Both sides also discussed on the preparations for the upcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in November 2026.

Both sides welcomed the continued progress in bilateral cooperation and explored potential areas of collaboration, including defence, food and energy security. They also exchanged views on ASEAN-Türkiye relations, as well as regional and international developments.​

Both sides also discussed ASEAN-Russia relations and reaffirmed the importance of ASEAN Centrality, as well as exchanged views on international developments.

His Royal Highness deposited Brunei Darussalam’s Instrument of Ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction, also known as the BBNJ Agreement. The deposit of the Instrument of Ratification marks Brunei Darussalam's formal commitment to the BBNJ Agreement and will enable Brunei Darussalam to participate fully in its implementation.

His Royal Highness attended the 19th Ministerial Meeting of the Global Governance Group (3GMM) and the ASEAN – Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Singapore to the United Nations in New York.

His Royal Highness at the 19th 3GMM, under the theme, “Building an AI-Ready Country”, highlighted the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support development, including in enhancing productivity, education, healthcare and public services, while underscoring the importance of AI as an important tool for development and should be accompanied by sensible safeguards.

His Royal Highness at the ASEAN-GCC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting underscored the need to address immediate regional security challenges through diplomacy and respect for international law, while strengthening ASEAN-GCC economic resilience through greater cooperation on energy security, trade, and supply chain diversification.

His Royal Highness also held bilateral meetings at the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

​His Royal Highness met with His Excellency Lê Hoài Trung, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. Both sides reaffirmed the excellent bilateral cooperation under the Comprehensive Partnership and looked forward to commemorating the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027, including through exchanges of high-level visits. His Royal Highness in the morning visited Sembawang Air Base, which was hosted by His Excellency Zaqy Mohamad, Acting Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs and Senior Minister of State for Defence of the Republic of Singapore. During the visit, His Royal Highness consented to sign the guest book and also received a briefing on the Special Operations Task Force’s roles and capabilities. His Royal Highness also took part in a special operations flight aboard an H225M helicopter, flying over various locations. The visit to the air base took place as Brunei Darussalam and Singapore commemorated 50 years of defence relations this year, a milestone marked by a joint parade at Royal Brunei Naval Base on 10 October 2026.

His Royal Highness began the day’s programme by meeting Her Excellency Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-Charge of Trade Relations of the Republic of Singapore, at The Treasury. His Royal Highness also attended a Business Roundtable, which brought together representatives from Enterprise Singapore and participating companies. The session gave representatives an opportunity to share their expertise and business interests, while exploring ways to deepen economic linkages between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.

His Royal Highness and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri in the afternoon attended a luncheon hosted by His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister of the Republic of Singapore and spouse, Madam Ho Ching, at Restaurant Fiz. During the luncheon, they reaffirmed the close friendship and excellent cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore. His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong last visited Brunei Darussalam to attend His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 80th birthday celebrations in July this year.

His Royal Highness, in the afternoon, also met with His Excellency Chan Chun Sing, Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence of the Republic of Singapore, at SPH Media. Both sides reiterated the longstanding defence ties, which commemorated its 50th anniversary this year. During the meeting, they also exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.

His Royal Highness then met with Her Excellency Josephine Teo, Minister for Digital Development and Information of the Republic of Singapore, at the Ministry of Digital Development and Information. His Royal Highness was briefed by the National AI Group and Digital Economy Office regarding the Republic of Singapore’s policy on artificial intelligence and its strategies to further enhance the digital economy. 

The engagements highlighted the special and unique ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore, underpinned by mutual trust, respect and understanding. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 1 January 1984, bilateral relations have continued to deepen through active exchange of visits and mutually beneficial cooperation. His Royal Highness’ visit provided further opportunities to build on this enduring partnership and advance collaboration in areas of shared interest. ​

Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah binti Adam, as part of her separate programme, visited M.Y World Dawson Preschool. Hosted by the Early Childhood Development Agency under the Ministry of Social and Family Development, the visit included a presentation on the development of early childhood education.

His Royal Highness, in the afternoon, met Mr. Teo Chee Hean, Chairman of Temasek Holdings at the company’s premises. During the visit, His Royal Highness received a presentation on Temasek Holdings, followed by discussions on future investment collaboration between the Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) and Temasek.
