The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Government of Grenada have decided to establish diplomatic relations with effect from 29 January 2010.

The signing of the Joint Communiqué took place at the Office of the Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations in New York.

The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was represented by His Excellency Latif bin Tuah, Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam to the United Nations, New York whilst the Government of Grenada was represented by His Excellency Dr. Dessima M. Williams , Permanent Representative of Grenada.
