MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TRADE ATTENDS THE SECOND MINISTERIAL MEETING OF ASIA – MIDDLE EAST DIALOGUE (AMED II) 

 

 

6 April 2008 - His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday morning attended the opening ceremony for the Second Ministerial Meeting of Asia-Middle East Dialogue at the Maritim International Congress Center, Sharm El Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt.

The dialogue, which comprises plenary sessions and panel discussions covering political, economic and cultural affairs, was opened by Egypt’s Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

During the first plenary session of the Political and Security Working Group, His Royal Highness delivered a statement affirming Brunei Darussalam’s support for cooperation between Asia and the Middle East, especially in dealing with natural disasters and communicable diseases



His Royal Highness, in the evening joined other AMED Ministers and Head of Delegations at a dinner hosted the Egyptian Foreign Minister.

His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah left Sharm El Sheikh this morning.
