PRINCE MOHAMED BOLKIAH ATTENDS OPENING CEREMONY OF CHOGM 2007

23 November 2007 - His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, His Majesty’s Special Envoy to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Kampala, Uganda, accompanied by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Mansurah Izzul Bolkiah, this morning attended the Opening Ceremony of CHOGM 2007 at Kampala Serena Conference Centre.


HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and Princess Mansurah Izzul Bolkiah are received by President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and Commonwealth Secretary-General Don McKinnon at the opening ceremony of the CHOGM Summit
 

The biannual meeting of Commonwealth Leaders was opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Head of the Commonwealth.

The ceremony began with addresses by President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda, the Chairman of CHOGM 2007; outgoing Chairman, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi of Malta; and outgoing Secretary General Donald McKinnon.
