Finale of the Cultural performances of ASEAN countries

8 August 2007 – Their Royal Highnesses Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah were Guests of Honour last night at a dinner reception to mark ASEAN 40th Anniversary, at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.

Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz were also present at the dinner.

His Royal Highness opened the celebrations by recalling the signing of the Bangkok Declaration on August 8, 1967 and asked guests to remember the vision expressed by ASEAN’s founding fathers.

The evening’s events, which included cultural performances and cuisine from ASEAN countries were among various activities organised by Brunei Darussalam to promote public awareness on ASEAN.
