HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Special Envoy of His Majesty the Sultan and yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam attends the General Debate of the 14th NAM Summit in Havana, Cuba

 

 

16 September 2006 - His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Special Envoy of His Majesty the Sultan and yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam delivered a statement at the General Debate of the 14th NAM Summit in Havana, Cuba.

In his Speech, His Royal Highness reaffirmed Brunei Darussalam’s support for the objectives of the Movement and emphasised the importance of South-South cooperation.

A total of 56 Heads of State or Government attended the two-day summit, focused on the central theme of “The Purposes and Principles and the Role of the Non-Aligned Movement in the current international juncture”. 

Haiti and Saint Kitts and Nevis were admitted as new members of the Movement, concluding the NAM Membership to 118 member states.
