MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TRADE GRANTS A FAREWELL AUDIENCE TO OUTGOING SAUDI ARABIA AMBASSADOR AND RECEIVES TWO NEWLY-APPOINTED FOREIGN ENVOYS

10 June 2006 -  His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and trade, granted a farewell audience at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan to His Excellency Esam A. Abid Al-Thagafi, the outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

His Excellency Esam A. Abid Al-Thagafi has been Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Brunei Darussalam since May 2003.

His Royal Highness also granted audiences to two newly-appointed foreign envoys to Brunei Darussalam:



Their Excellencies Md. Hedayetul Islam Chowdhury of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (Left) )and Nan Sy of the Kingdom of Cambodia (Right).

Prior to his appointment, His Excellency Md. Hedayetul Islam Chowdhury was Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

His Excellency Nan Sy was previously the Special Envoy to Samdech Krom Preah, Speaker of the House and the President of the Funcinpec Party.
