HRH PRINCE MOHAMED BOLKIAH, MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TRADE AT THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE COMMONWEALTH SUMMIT   

26 November 2005 - His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, joined other Commonwealth leaders at the opening ceremony of Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting [ CHOGM ] 2005 in Malta. The meeting was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, the Head of the Commonwealth. The opening ceremony was held at the Republic Hall, Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valetta, Malta.

HRH attends the First Executive Session chaired by H.E. Dr. Lawrence Gonzi, Prime Minister of Malta

At the Executive Session and the first day's Retreat, leaders discussed a wide range of Commonwealth affairs, including a review of global developments and the work of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group, CMAG.
 
Commonwealth leaders also exchanged views on Governance and Capacity Building, Combating Terrorism and Promoting Tolerance, Trade, Poverty Eradication and Networking for Development.
