BRUNEI DARUSSALAM ESTABLISHES PAKISTAN EARTHQUAKE HUMANITARIAN FUND 

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan had consented to the establishment of a relief fund to ease the suffering of hundreds of thousands of victims of the recent Pakistan earthquake.

A National Committee for Pakistan Earthquake Humanitarian Fund was set up at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports to manage all efforts in gathering donations from the public.

The public can now contribute cash to the newly-established Pakistan Earthquake Humanitarian Fund through donation boxes placed in mosques, banks, shopping complexes and government offices nationwide. Business and private organisations or individuals can also hand in their cash donation to the Secretariat of Pakistan Earthquake Humanitarian Fund at the Department of Community Development at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in Jalan Kebangsaan.

The donation period for the Pakistan Earthquake Humanitarian Fund will be for six months starting from 20 October 2005.
