17 November 2005 - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam held bilateral talks with President of the Republic of Korea, Roh Moo-hyun. The meeting was held at one of the leading hotels in Busan.

His Majesty thanked the President for the hospitality accorded to His Majesty and delegation and congratulated the President for his leadership and Chairmanship of this year’s APEC Economic Leaders Meeting. His Majesty and President Roh Moo-hyun were pleased to note the excellent relations that exist between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed also discussed other bilateral matters particularly efforts to enhance relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea in areas such as industrial and IT cooperation. Both leaders also discussed regional issues particularly efforts to enhance cooperation between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea.

The President expressed appreciation for the support given by Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Korea in many of the international fora.
