MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND TRADE GRANTS FAREWELL AUDIENCES TO UNITED STATES AMBASSADOR AND OUTGOING PAKISTAN HIGH COMMISSIONER

4 August 2005 - His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, today granted farewell audiences at the Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan to Their Excellencies Gene Burl Christy, the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America and Major (Rtd) Badr-ud-Deen, the outgoing High Commissioner of Pakistan.

His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation to the two envoys for their work and wished them much success in their future undertakings.

His Excellency Gene Burl Christy has been Ambassador of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam since January 2003.

His Excellency Major (Rtd) Badr-ud-Deen has been Pakistan High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam since April 2001
