1 FOREIGN NATIONALS TRAVELLING TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

COUNTRY CATEGORY VISA APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
All foreign nationals entering Brunei Darussalam must have visas obtainable from any Brunei Darussalam diplomatic missions abroad except the following countries with which Brunei Darussalam has visa arrangements with.

Nationals of
India*, Nepal and Sri Lanka are required to obtain a visa from the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in New Delhi, India before the intended travel.

1.2 VISA APPLICATION
1.2.1 Visa for Indian nationals with diplomatic / official passport
a)
For applicants planning to stay or visit Brunei for less than 14 days
Indian nationals with Diplomatic or Official passports are allowed to stay or visit Brunei without visa for up to 14 days.
b)
For applicants planning to stay or visit Brunei for more than 14 days
Indian nationals with Diplomatic or Official passports that are planning to stay or visit Brunei for more than 14 days are required to apply for visa.
1.2.2 Short visit visa for nationals of India, Nepal and Sri Lanka

All applicants are required to submit the following documents to the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam in New Delhi:-

Applicant's passport. (Passport must be valid for at least six months past intended date of entry. There should be at least six unmarked pages remaining)

A copy of applicant's passport.

Invitation letter from sponsor in Brunei and/or statutory declaration stamped by the Magistrate in Brunei Darussalam.

Two (2) recent passport-size photographs with blue or white background.

A copy of confirmed travel itinerary. (return flight details)

A copy of proof of accommodation in Brunei Darussalam e.g. hotel reservation or address of stay in Brunei Darussalam.

A copy of marriage certificate (if applicable)

A copy of spouse's IC/passport (if applicable)

A copy of birth certificate (for children, if applicable)

A copy of sponsor's Identity Card (IC), latest passport and valid employment pass in Brunei. (if applicable)

1.3 OTHER CONSULAR SERVICES
1.3.1 Request for a Certificate of Good Conduct for a person that previously lived or worked in Brunei Darussalam:
Those requiring a Police Certificate of Good Conduct from Brunei Darussalam should submit the following documents to the High Commission and it will take minimum of three (3) months to be issued:

An explanatory letter addressed to the Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force explaining the reason for requesting the Certificate of Good Conduct, and some background of the applicant's previous stay in Brunei Darussalam

Supporting documents as a proof of residency in Brunei (Employment pass / Brunei Identification Card / Letter of appointment)

Copy of all pages of applicant's current passport and previous passport used while in Brunei.

Current mailing address, email and contact number

Payment is BND 50.00 (Payable in Indian Rupees based on the Brunei Government foreign exchange rate)

1.4.3 Important Notices

Processing time for visa applications are five (5) working days from day of submission.
-
It is illegal for any applicant to offer any financial or material form of gratification to any staff of the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam and such gesture is regarded as a corrupt practice and will be reported to the appropriate authority.

The High Commission of Brunei Darussalam does not appoint any external agency to process visa application and any application using such illegal service will be rejected.
-
The High Commission reserves the right to reject an application that does not comply with the above requirement.
